The F Word is a combination of text from a play called Play, by Samuel Beckett and a novel called Story of the Eye, by George Bataille. Both samples contain 3 characters intertwined in a love triangle, but each takes a different perspective. By incorporating the two, I wanted to convey the strong physical relationship that can occur even if the emotional relationship is disintegrating. The coloured text is the emotional side of love from Play and the black text is from Story of the Eye. Imagery was sourced from Thomas Ruff, Simon Bolz, and Craigslist. Ideally, the cover would be made of black latex rubber and the black and white image on the front would be screen printed.
